Adaptive reuse of an original 1920’s car dealership into 14 loft style apartments in the East End district, downtown Rochester, NY. Masonry walls and structural steel were left exposed, contrasting the simplistic, bright white, modern renovations. 7 large rooftop skylights were restored, providing daylight for interior units. The vehicle ramp from the original dealership, used to drive cars up to the 2nd & 3rd floors, was repurposed into private balconies.
